Business Development Manager for USA and Canada
Scottish Biomedical is a preclinical drug discovery contract research company based in Glasgow. We are seeking an enthusiastic driven PhD qualified life scientist who can apply their scientific training and background to support Business Development in the identification of new business opportunities and sell our projects and services. This is a customer-facing position requiring an ability to determine clients’ specific scientific needs and to translate these into a customised project plan. Experience in making presentations, preparing reports and running meetings would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will promote and sell Scottish Biomedical’s biological services and products throughout North America. A technical background in biological research (drug discovery, generation of cell lines, target ID and validation, assay development, cell signaling, protein production etc.) would be useful). Knowledge and experience of the pharma/biotech industry would be an advantage.
This is an office-based role in Glasgow but travel will be necessary to attend client meetings and conferences in North America (up to one week/month).
