Scottish Biomedical offers a comprehensive range of protein services to assist you at any stage of your protein production from gene synthesis to protein expression, purification or scale up.

We apply a flexible approach to projects, with each one custom designed to meet customers specific requirements. With a successful track record in hard to produce proteins, our technology significantly reduces the time and ultimately the cost associated with producing your protein.

• Cloning and protein expression using (SBXpress) of any protein in bacteria, yeast, insect or mammalian cells.
• Rapid identification of optimum combination of vector and expression conditions.
• Purification, including ion exchange, affinity, gel filtration and hydrophobic column.
• Scale up to your desired quantity of recombinant protein with a production capacity of up to 200 litres for bacterial and yeast systems and up to 25 litres for insect and mammalian.
• Deliver required amount of protein from mg to >100 gram scale for use in assays, screens or X-ray crystallography.
• We also perform site directed mutagenesis, produce truncated and chimeric proteins and use protein engineering to modify the properties of targets.
